Here you will find relevant information for you participating in the seminar program, Crimetime and Bokmässan by Night.

Your participation

In order to see information about what hall your seminar(s) will be held in, you need to log in to your personal page. If you are unsure whether you are scheduled to participate in further events, please contact the employer responsible for your engagements at the fair. We recommend you to be at your designated hall 15 minutes before your seminar starts.

If you or your employer has booked travel and/or accommodation through the Book Fair’s travel agency (Grand Travel), you will find information about the booking(s) on your personal page. If you have questions regarding your booking, please contact your employer.

Books ahead of the seminars

If you are a participant in one or several seminars that revolve around specific books, you will get these sent to you buy the publishers. Books are sent out at the end of June (if it is in print by then) or as soon as it is available.

Name badge and map

As a participant in the seminar programme (as well as Crimetime and Bokmässan by Night) you will get a personalised name tag that serves as entry to the Book Fair during the daytime as well as all the seminars for all four days and access to Speaker’s Lounge (more information below). The name tag is picked up from the information desk located in the reception at Hotel Gothia Towers, address is Mässans gata 24. You will have to show identification to get your name tag. You will also get a map of the fair grounds, including all of the seminar halls and Speakers’ Lounge.

We recommend you pick up your name tag as soon as possible upon your arrival at the fair, as there will be a lot of people moving about during the fair.

Speakers’ Lounge 

In the congress foyer on the second floor you can find Speakers’ Lounge, a place for those who participate in the seminar programme, Crimetime or Bokmässan by Night. This is a place where you can find some peace and quiet to prepare for your event, meet colleagues and grab a cup of coffee or a lighter meal.

Presentations

Pictures, videos and presentations that are to be shown during a seminar or a Crimetime stage talk need to be submitted to technicians in Speakers’ Preview – located in conference room R11 on the second floor – ahead of the time of the event.

The technician will make sure the material functions as it should. Make sure you visit Speakers’ Preview well ahead of time before your event. You cannot submit a presentation directly to the stage technicians in the seminar hall.

Technical equipment and accessibility 

Every seminar hall is equipped with headsets, handheld microphones, controller for presentations, a countdown clock and a preview monitor. The title of the seminar and the name of all participants and the organiser(s) will be shown on the screen adjacent to the stage at the start of each event. If you don’t have another presentation, image of video to display during the seminar, the title and names will be shown the entire time.

Our stages and programmes

The seminar programme

The seminar programme consists of about 300 panels, interviews and keynote speakers that are all 45 minutes long. The seminars all take place on the second floor.
Visitors need to purchase a seminar ticket or the four day ticket Guldkortet to access the seminars.

Stage programme

On the fair grounds there are about 30 stages with different profiles. Some of the stages are administrated by the Book Fair, but the majority are run by external organisers.
The stages are located on the fair grounds on both the first and the second floor.
Visitors can access these with an entrance ticket to the Book Fair.

Booth programme

Several of the 700 exhibitors at the Book Fair have stages in their booths that are free for visitors to access. The fair ground and all of the booths can be found on predominantly the first floor. Visitors can access the booths with an entrance ticket to the Book Fair.

Bokmässan by Night 

Bokmässan by Night is the night club event of the Book Fair with live podcasting, DJ’s, live music and a dance floor. Bokmässan by Night takes place on the Friday evening in the Congress Foyer (entrance 8) after closing time for the main fair and is a separate event that requires a specific ticket. Only participants in the programme at Bokmässan by Night has free entrance to the event. Other participants, exhibitors and organisers need to purchase a ticket to enter. The event takes place on Friday September 25th at 7pm until 1am. If you are to participate in Bokmässan by Night you will get information about the specific event later in the year.

Crimetime 

Crimetime Göteborg is Sweden’s largest meeting place for authors and readers of thriller and crime fiction. Crimetime at the Book Fair 2026 takes place on the Saturday and Sunday with its own seminar programme and two stages, Kåken and Häktet. The stage programmes are included in the entrance ticket, the seminar programme requires a seminar ticket.
